After having a couple weeks off for Christmas/preparing to have Pete open his own business, I was all set to start the new year off with a bang. I had lessons all prepped for school today, including some fun stuff to help ease the boys back into the swing of things. However, my plans are often derailed and today was evidence of that. Our sweet Lord, in His kindness, heard Jon's prayers for snow and sent some our way. After declaring yesterday that it was "NEVER" going to snow, I couldn't deny these crazy kiddos some fun in that powdery white stuff.
At first, I was just going to let the older two play in it, knowing that it would take more time to find the snow boots and other accessories that Will would need and dress him that he would last out there. In fact, I even turned on PBS to distract him from his brothers absence, but then...I reconsidered. You only live once, right? Why not seize the day? And I'm so glad that I did. Look at this kid:
They all had so much fun. I think it was worth the effort of digging out hats, gloves, boots, etc...
After sufficiently wearing themselves out, they came in to have our traditional post-snow-playing hot chocolate. (It should be noted that Will skipped the hot chocolate in favor of a morning nap!)
I hope that wherever you are that you are having half as much fun as these boys. If so, it's a good day for sure! :)

Just a random visitor, I was roaming around blogger and came across your blog and must say that I just love looking at all the pictures, Yours boys are definitely cutie pies and love the expressions you seem to catch on them with the camera.
In time I would love to get my blog full of photos too but I am just starting out so don't have much up yet.
